Nokia, or at least the part of the business that was not acquired by Microsoft, wants to use drones in the future to inspect networks under load.
And recently, he conducted tests in partnership with the operator “of” the United Arab Emirates.
In essence, the drone was used to measure performance indicators that are sent to Nokia’s servers and then used to make adjustments. Thus, it avoids a few hours walk and drive technicians flying over the areas normally covered.
Moreover, thanks to its onboard camera, it can also be used to inspect the towers, see if there are any abnormalities, reducing the number of human interventions on them (knowing that it is particularly dangerous and that sometimes the weather does not allow to do so).
